When I was looking at the first newspaper and comparing it to the ones you see today they are different but kinda look the same. First there is no pictures or bold heading. The pages look the same to the ones we have.
No I don't think the government should have that much control over what the news should be like. For me the news is about stuff going on around you that is important. The government doesn't always want us to see the truth but we need to see the truth sometimes.
I think it is important to the government and businesses. Because we need to see the reality of things. It is not all the time people want to go to there favorite spot to hang out and get something to eat and hear it has something wrong with it or is getting shut down. When there is something about the government in the new paper and they do not want people to see it they can shut that new paper down. People want to see things for how bad they are but people should really be looking at the good side of things and not look for gossip and bad things all the time.
No i wasn't surprised that the first newspaper was in Halifax because it is a big city and a lot of people in the city would see it and support it.
